Note: This post is essentially a summary of the current info I’ve seen regarding the much hinted at “Mann Versus Machine” Team fortress 2 update, complete with the video that’s been going around with some of the info. A good portion of the info was linked by or found in the Facepunch Major Update Speculation thread, mostly the pages around 120-130, give or take a few.

Well here’s your tf2 year and speculation review!

This year has been exceedingly busy for the past two months with the advent of meet the pyro and the sleeping dogs promos but we’ll start at the start.
This is the story of the new game mode that’s coming in tf2 which will completely overshadow special delivery, meet the pyro and every other update in the year so far.

The story starts in 2010 with the engineer update- [Snipped this, as it made the post huge, and readmores don’t work on video posts, so click to read the whole thing]

-Facepunch user 01271’s summary, covering things in the video in more detail, as well as some things not in the video

The upper right one looks like granary, as it’s all industrial looking.
The on on the left looks like badwater.
The one on the bottom right looks like both 2fort and doublecross.

The map is found inside the blu base, all of the carriers are blue.

 - User CrossNgen’s speculation on the map found in one of the secret rooms, in reference to These tanks, currently found in the skyboxes of 2fort, Badwater, Granary, and Doublecross

Lastly, to most trusted Elizabeth I leave the entirety of my “miracle” gravel cache, uncovered with Barnabas during a trip to Terra Australis. My weakling son Gray resurfaced last year and has threatened to blackmail me for it. I give the gravel to you and swear you to utmost secrecy in its keeping.

(Complete typed out will Here)

- The recently more-uncovered will of Zephaniah Mann, father of Bluregard and Redmond, creators of the teams- the will was released quite a while ago, however, the dirt was only removed in the past few days, now referencing the 3rd son, Gray, also referenced in multiple other areas (most notably, the secret page on the Team fortress blog). Update:

Apparently, having a Damaged Capacitor (Now Equippable) and a high-five taunt equipped, and doing one with a fellow player who has the same equipped, produces a message. Here’s a page with them listed and such. I’m not entirely sure what to make of this yet, how the messages appear, etc, as I can’t find much clear info, but it’s similar to the banana-codes from the pyromania update is seems.

Keep in mind though, this is quite a lot of speculation- whether something comes out of all of it isn’t guaranteed, neither is anything coming out soon, I’m just writing this up as a Summary sort of post of some of the important bits, may have missed some. Credit for the discoveries goes to the thread and linked users as mentioned, again, sorry if I missed any, and sorry again if I’ve posted stuff that’s been posted before. Hope you all enjoy.

Update #2

http://www.teamfortress.com/tobor/ Is now a legitimate page- however, it’s not able to be accessed by most people, probably save the developers.  - Discovered by HazzaHardie

It was right under our noses this whole time.

When I saw the robotic version of “Leonardo Da Vinci’s The Vitruvian Man“ I had a feeling that they would introduce robots into the game in some way, though not in the way they went with. I just thought that you would get moving sentry guns or something of the sort. I dismissed it when the Wrangler came out thinking that was what it about. I didn’t think Valve was thinking that far ahead to make something that big and new for the future of the game to keep people coming back for more.

Team Fortress 2 seems to be evolving from it once being a game where you didn’t know anything about the back story, you just went out killing random characters with your own random character. Now it has a huge back story and more in depth character stories. This game will not be replaced anytime soon by some other generic shooter up, or any shooter up trying to be like TF2.

As a side note I also see a lot of Free-mason and Abraham Lincoln refrances in the Engineer update page. There are two well known Free-mason symbols in the Engineer update pages, one the “All Seeing Top Hat The other being the “Gentleman’s Square and Compasses”. There are also many Abraham Lincoln pictures up on the wall. There is the penny with Lincoln’s face on it which is “dated 1869” the first Abraham Lincoln one cent was not minted till 1909, before that Benjamin Franklin was on the one cent from 1787 to 1909. a photo of the private box where he was shot during the play, and he is also seen in the upper left of the Old Photo. There is also a John “Tower of Hats” (Wilkes) Booth wanted poster and we all know he was the man who shot Lincoln. So why is the engineer so obsesses with Lincoln and the killer? Could Lincoln maybe be Engies great grandfather, and his family is out to find the real killer? Maybe it also has to do with Gray Mann maybe he was the real killer of Engies Great Grandfather Lincoln? I only say that because he is in the old photo of the first Mann Co. mercenary team and the wall seems to depict engineers family past.

Also this is under the robot and the Australia False Alarm pictures, as a clickable link on The Second Day of the Engineer Update Then another on The third Day of the Engineer Update under the left corner of the Frontier Justice. Don’t know if anyone else saw it. It’s only engineer’s grandfather(?) Radigan holding “Frontier Justice” in the first and the “Wrangler” in the second.
